So, I’m watching the new episode of Heroes (quite likable, I must add, but more on that in a later post, after exams) and then a new guy comes on the screen, and I’m thinking “Hmmm, that guy looks like Christopher Eccleston.” Then he starts laughing, and I’m further thinking, “Wow, this guy laughs like Christopher Eccleston…. Wait a second!” So I checked (before even finishing watching the episode) and lo and behold, it was bloody Christopher Eccleston!

Needless to say, I was nicely thrilled More information, yet spoilery for those who haven’t seen Episode 12, after the jump: Christopher Eccleston plays Claude, who we haven’t really gotten to know yet, because he’s only featured for the last few minutes of the last episode, but I secretly hope his character might become a bit more major. Claude is a “Hero”, who’s super power is invisibility – and he uses his power to non-chalantly thieve from people’s handbags. Peter, who always absorbs powers – whether he likes it or not – takes on his power unknowingly and confronts Claude, not realising no one else can see him. Claude is taken aback that he can be seen and physically confronts Peter, pulling him up to a lamp post. Poor Peter always seems to be getting in trouble wherever he goes! Anyway, yes, Christopher Eccleston in Heroes. Good choice, people!

Yes, I fully realise Battlestar Galactica’s return is already upon us – I’ve already watched the episode, and it was quite the doozy, but I’ll write about it in full later (damn my inevitable doom at the hands of exams!) For now, enjoy Baltar’s Dream, from the beginning of the third series. It’s easily one of my favourite scenes we saw.

There’s a nice bunch of pictures for Tim Minear’s new series ‘Drive’ over on Just Jared which are all kinds of shiny. The entire cast and Tim Minear with executive producers, Ben Queen and Greg Yaitanes, were giving a juicy Q and A about the show. Tim Minear, gaining a notoriety for being on shows which inevitabily get cancelled although later get discovered and loved, went on record that he doesn’t know if there will be multiple arcs – “I’ve never been past 15 episodes myself.”

Nathan Fillion was at the premier of Smokin’ Aces, since his friendship with Ryan Reynolds, back in Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place, who stars in the movie. It’s not a bad movie actually, despite the bad reviews it was gettin on Rotten Tomatoes, but it has yet to be released in America (you’ll get on the 26th). IESB managed to grab a nice short and sweet video interview with the captain himself, where it talks about Drive, the future of Firefly (none!) and more. Apparently he had just come from the first day of filming the first episode (again!).

From SciFi Wire comes news that Tim Kring, creator of Heroes, has announced that Heroes has been renewed for a second series. Of course, this is great news for them and fans of the show alike! Season 1 will run its course of 23 episodes, the ending which is still on the storyboard, apparently. The second series will be a complete (20-odd episodes) series which will “allow the writers to explore more story possibilities.” We also have word that the current storyline of the apocalyptic doom will be covered before the end of Season 1.

Slightly less newsy, but good to hear anyway, Season 4 of Battlestar Galactica is pretty much a “done deal” according to the shakers and the movers behind the show. They will be watching for how viewership figures compare, with the new move to a Sunday slot, which reaches their demographics higher. We’ll hear a confirming announcement some time in February about the show. Hopefully it might also clear up the speculation of the possibility of a Direct-to-DVD/Television movie (link also contains spoilers and speculation for the rest of Season 3 and info about Starbuck, be warned!) in between Season 3. Remember if you’re watching in the US, the show is now on Sunday, not Friday. If you’re good, and I remember, perhaps I’ll get back to writing bits about the episode, maybe just not as long!

Also, good news for Losties, rather than the current season’s airing as 6 episodes and then a further 17 (to begin in February), Season 4 is likely to air in one complete block, at least in the US. It will most likely air in January 2008 for 22-23 episodes. Season 3 will resume in 20 days (24 in the UK) and if you’re already eager to see what happens in Episode 7, hop on over to Lostpedia’s article, which briefly details what we can expect.

It seems the new season of shows to watch is just around the corner. Many shows will soon be returning from their brief mid-season breaks and be back on the air, and this includes, amongst others, Battlestar Galactica Season 3. Of course, as I have written previously, I am absolutely in love with this show, so it’s return is greatly appreciated. But yet, I have slowly been adapting to watching other shows, shock horror, would you believe it!

• Battlestar Galactica (Returns Sunday 21st January)
  At the end of the last episode, we were left with Adama posed to set off all the remaining warheads on to the Algae Planet; Starbuck had been shot down by a Cylon party; Apollo refused Anders to set a rescue attempt; Gaius had returned to the Galactica; Chief had found the Temple of the Five; the Cylons had appeared; and just to top it all off, a supernova was about to go off and blow both humans and cylons alike into smithereens. Now you can’t get much better than that!
• Lost (Returns Wednesday 7th February)
  Of course, its still the show everyone watches, and I finally got myself into it. We’ve been left hanging on the edge from the sixth episode for a while now, and we all want to find out what the heck is going on! Will Kate and Sawyer get off the second Island? What happens to Jack? Just who is Benjamin Linus? And what is Juliet’s game?
• Heroes (Returns Monday 22nd January)
  I watched the first episode of this, and wasn’t too impressed, but gave it a chance, and it quickly drew me in. By episode 5, there was no stopping me. I’ve still got one episode to see before it returns this Monday, but I won’t have too much chance to catch up because of my upcoming Networks and Discrete Maths exams next week, but once they’re over, I’ll be all over it. Aww man, I love Hiro! He’s great!

What else should I be watching? I’m looking forward to Tim Minear’s Drive after easter, since the rumours of Nathan Fillion replacing the lead role have now been confirmed, and how much better can you get than a writer from Firefly and the greatest captain of all time? Also, there’s a chance Nicholas Lea might be included, although with the cast redraft, I’m not incredibly certain, unfortunately. The Dresden Files might get a look in, but I don’t hold my hopes high (perhaps it’ll surprise me!) So, yeah, back to my question, what else should I be watching?

Battlestar Galactica kicks back into action with Season 3, and it’s certainly come with an enormously large bang. The new season is thrilling, dark and asks many more questions. The first two episodes have been aired in a double-bill, and here I am, back to write about them. Occupation and Precipice were shown Friday on Sci-Fi as a two-hour season premier special, and they sure were a blast. Once again, there’s going to be spoilers in my post – pretty much every single thing I’m going to say will one way or another spoil your experience if you haven’t seen the episodes already. If you aren’t afraid of the spoilers, or you’ve seen it already, then continue…

So, at the end of Season 2, we’d taken a dramatic jump of one year into the future, after landing on the planet of New Caprica. And now this episode has begun, yet another four months has passed. Do we get to know any of what went on in the previous year? Not yet, but producers Ronald D. Moore and David Eick promised that flashbacks in the coming episodes will begin to reveal some of the story we missed in the 16 months we were gone. Hopefully, this will eventually answer some of the questions that have been bugging BSG fans for the past seven months since the end of Season 2. The new season also brings about a slightly new intro sequence, replacing the end with three new short scenes (albeit taken from Season 2 footage):

The episode begins with some harsh images of Saul, kept in the detention center, presumably for several days, and obviously tortured. And also interspersed with scenes of Ellen getting very “intimate” (in her own way). Next, candles are lit, whilst someone begins setting up an explosive device. Adama picks up models used for strategic planning in the Situation Room, and frustrated chucks them across the table. Laura Roslin prays in the temple, and then we return to the explosives. Tyrol and Anders are speedily assembling the bomb and place it on a wall. We also see Kara sitting at a very well-furnished apartment (within relation to the rest of New Caprica that is), where she is served dinner by Leoben. She’s not been given a knife for obvious reasons (she has a bit of a short temper and likes to stab things into people’s necks, remember?) Leoben acts as if everything is very normal, and says grace for their food. Meanwhile, screams are heard by Tigh in his cell, when Brother Cavil brings in a chair and sits down to begin interrogating him. Elsewhere, it is revealed Ellen is in actual fact with another Cavil, who afterwards, laughs manically. However, she’s only doing what she’s doing in an attempt to free Tigh from the detention cells, which Cavil informs her is happening as they speak. Tigh is released and meets Ellen at the gates, who are more than happy to see each other. Tyrol and Anders have set up the bomb as a heavy Cylon Raider lands, and is greeted by several cylons (Six and Sharon amongst them – possibly even the Six and Sharon who began the new effort, although that is pretty doubtful). After a few attempts at detonating the bomb fail, it finally explodes and they get out of there as quick as they can. Back with Kara, Leoben sees the explosion and comments on the “frakking insurgents”. When he leans down to tell Kara how “lovely” she looks, she brings out her fork, and stabs him right through the neck, and then impales him several times again. As he dies, he mutters “I’ll see you soon…. Kara”. She replies, “take your time”, casually wipes off the blood and returns to eating her meal.

Laura is writing in a diary, and notes it has been 134 days since the Cylons occupied the humans in New Caprica, and the the fleet left their side. She writes that the insurgent strikes are what keeps the race with hope against the Cylons, until Adama returns to save them. There is an individual who is relaying some of the secret information from Baltar’s presidential office and leaving it in the hands of Tyrol and the insurgency. They don’t know who it is, but they obviously have pretty good access to top-secret information and are willing to risk their lives to relay it to them. Back on Colonial One, the Top Cylons have a meeting: The Brother Cavils believe that they need to instill fear into the humans in order to stop the suicide bombings and make them more “persuadable”. Caprica Six mentions that the majority of the Cylons thought that the “slaughter of mankind has been a mistake” and that was their reason for being here, and Sharon mentions that they’re “here to find a new way to live in peace”. Cavil mocks them and returns to this point. D’anna and two Dorals remain quiet on the situation for the moment. Cavil suggests that they execute Baltar. Suddenly, he stops reading at his desk and hears in on the situation, “What!? What?” Of course, Caprica!Six says it’s not going to happen, but Cavil dismisses her point because she’s too infatuated with him. The Dorals say it doesn’t matter anyway because Gaius is already seen as a traitor and killing him now we’ll probably receive cheers from the humans. Cavil gives up on his idea and instead suggests they go after the insurgency leaders and random groups of people on the street to show them they mean business. He mentions that they’ll otherwise reduce the population to a more “manageable size, say less than a 1000″. Caprica!Six and Sharon still refute it. Cavil leaves, after giving up on his point. As they all leave, D’anna questions Caprica!Six on whether its worth it, and she replies with the trailer-line “If you ever had experienced love, you wouldn’t have to ask”.

Laura continues to write in her journal, about a new police force started by the Cylons where they are recruiting humans into the NCP, “New Caprica Policeforce”. She goes on to say how anyone who signs up are all wrong, and doing the dirty work of the Cylons is ridiculous. In the scene, we see that Jammer has signed up to become one of the NCP. Hundreds of people have been rounded up and sent to the detention camp for interrogating and torture, and others have gone missing straight away. Meanwhile, Cally is with Tyrol’s and her’s baby. Tyrol has to go out, and she questions that sometime he’ll go out and never come back. In the fresh of night, Tigh wanders along to a hidden bunker, meeting with Tyrol and Anders, at the secret hideout of the insurgent leaders. Tyrol welcomes him back from the detention camp into his “freedom”. He tells them what’s with his eyepatch – the Cylons during their interrogation and torture tore out his eye, and showed it to him right in front of him. Their next target is to be the Graduation for the New Caprica Police – Tigh wonders where they got them from, but Tyrol has no idea. He says that Gaius Baltar will be at the ceremony, and there’s a chance they’ll be able to get a shot at him. Even though there’ll be innocent deaths, Tigh strictly says not to avoid him and that getting him is their top target on the agenda to send the message to the Cylons. Tyrol continues to try and contact any Raptor that might be out above the planet, like in Galactica’s plan, but the Cylons continually block the signal. Anders refuses to believe their ever coming back, and that Galactica left him, just like Kara. Who has been missing for four months, since the day Leoben came into their tent and asked for her.

Leoben returns to Kara, after redownloading into a new body. Kara appears to soften up to Leoben, and cries and accepts him. Of course, he sees right through her plan. He tells her to “put it down” – she’s holding the knife from dinner. However many times she kills him (and it’s five times so far), he’ll just keep coming back because he’s a “patient man”. He goes off to bed and says it’d be nice if she could join him. But either way, she’d be spending the night with him, as he points to his dead body still lieing in the room. She attempts to escape, runs out the door, and to the bars, and screams the trailer-line, “Let me out!!”

We finally return to Galactica, where the new CAG, Kat, is attempting to perform a group maneuver. So far they’ve failed sixteen attempts to pull it off, and its showing off how there’s a general failure with the entire crew of the fleet. Adama walks around a nearly empty and rundown Galactica, where lights aren’t working and it is severely undermanned. On telling them to perform the maneuver a seventeenth time, Apollo demands a direct link with Galactica to question his father’s idea. Apollo is fat, big time. The first time he is seen is when he’s wearing nothing but a towel around his waste, and it is not pretty. Adama gets angry at him, mainly because if they can’t complete this in training, then there’s no way they can do it in real life with Cylons. Out in space, one of the Vipers is involved in a collision and needs an immediate landing. Adama cuts fatty Apollo off to return to his duty. Afterwards, Apollo comes aboard the Galactica to complain to his father. Adama says he’s soft, “both mentally and physically” (Oooh, burn!!) and all he does is complain and whine. In the four months, he’s not gotten “his act together”. Adama tells him to “turn around and get his fat ass out of here!” and shouts “Dismissed” at him to make him leave. Of course this shows the deteriation of their relationship over the past year, even though during the first season they were both becoming much closer to each other, especially after overcoming the Zak incident.

Back on New Caprica, Anders is playing Pyramid with Duck. This begs the question, how did Anders get well again if Kara has been away for four months – where did he get the antibiotics from? It couldn’t have been any humans, because all the anti-biotics were stashed aboard the Pegasus, so either he received it from the Cylons themselves, or he thought it off himself – or, perhaps he’s a Cylon!? (Yay for wild speculation!) Whilst playing, Duck and him are conversing about whether Duck’s going to go ahead with his mission. Tyrol and Tigh are on the benches watching over, and Tyrol expresses his unhappiness with this plan, but Tigh, strict as ever reinforces that this needs to be done. Anders is making sure Duck is going to go be confident enough to do this, but Duck replies that since his wife Nora was killed, he has nothing to live for. I liked the link in to webisodes, which explained Duck’s backstory here and somewhat his motivations for doing this. It’s not essential to the storyline, like they explained, but it does add a little extra, as well as being something to keep ravaging fans from going mad in the intevening period before the season premier! Tigh notes that this is the best chance to take out Gaius Baltar, so it is essential they take this chance. Duck strongly replies he’s commited to the mission, and Anders shows his enormous appreciation for it with a manly hug, and replies “May the Gods be with you”, which makes Duck a little awry, since his disbelief in the Gods, and his whole “Frak the Gods! The Gods killed Nora!!” since she was killed in the temple. Tyrol mentions his trailer-line, “Somethings you just don’t do Colonol, not even war.” Tigh Wanders off, and the plan is in motion.

Again we return to the Galactica, and Adama is sitting in the cell with Sharon. He feels he doesn’t know who his son is anymore, nor his crew or his ship. The only person he connects with, ironically isnt a person: its Sharon. She’s obviously soften up to him as well, and even asks him a personal question about his guilt for leaving people behind. And yet another trailer-line, “I don’t think we can survive, unless the man at the top, finds a way to forgive himself.” Adama gives his trademark look, but says nothing. On Pegasus, Apollo, still eating away getting even fatter, complains about Adama to Dee. When she says nothing, Apollo presumes she agrees with him, but she’s not looking for a fight, so she just tries to avoid it. Dee comes out and says he is soft, because he’s lost his edge because he “lost his war”.

The anonymous tipper comes by and leaves a new document for the insurgency, a list of the Cylon Jamming Frequencies that Tyrol needed in order to contact any raptors orbiting the planet. Tyrol picks it up and attempts to send a message, but its continually jammed. Up in orbit of the planet, there is a raptor with Racetrack aboard, looking for any signs of wireless signals. They have about 10 minutes before they jump away. Tyrol manages to succeed in sending a signal. Racetrack is about to leave, when the signal is picked up and it’s a Colonial transmission. They send a signal and jump out of atmosphere back to the Galactica. Returning to the ship, Racetrack announces they’ve made contact with the ground and confirms that Tigh has started an insurgency group. Adama mumbles the next trailer-line, “It’s gonna be okay.”

Tori and Laura are in the school tent after hours, and she has come across several surveilance pictures of people who have signed up to the New Caprica Police. They’ve managed to get about 50 names, but there is 200 people who’ve signed up. Meanwhile, Duck is praying to the Gods because he’ll need a lot of help with today’s mission. Gaeta comes to Baltar’s office and tells him it’s time for the graduation ceremony. Baltar doesn’t reply, but Caprica!Six replies “Morning, Gaeta”. Baltar states that he wont be going to the ceremony because of “security concern”. Gaeta walks out as quickly as can to “let the staff know”. As soon as he’s out, he runs as fast as he can to get to the insurgent group – obviously Gaeta is the inside man in the Presidential Office. Tyrol is mentioning they should call of the strike to Tigh, but he still thinks they shouldn’t pass up the “golden opportunity”. Tigh tells him not to call it off unless the source says Baltar’s not going to be there. Tyol checks the source’s point, but there’s no message, so he returns and goes back. Immediately after, Gaeta gets there and leaves his mark – too late. Duck has strapped plenty of explosives around his waste and is preparing for his mission. You can’t call this season not dark, when it’s stock full of suicide bombers. He attends the graduation ceremony, which is proceeded by a D’anna instead of Baltar. But its too late to back out on the plan now, and when the Cylons shake hands with Duck, he mutters “I’ll see you soon Nora” and then presses the button. The episode ends with hundreds of bodies lieing on the ground, as paper falls from the sky.

The first episode of Ergo Proxy scored an early release in Japan, and a quick fansubbing group was already on the job to complete an English subtitled version of the new anime series. From the trailers and what little I understood from the official website, this seemed to be one hell of a show to watch out for. Firstly, it is directed by Shukou Murase, who directed my favourite, Witch Hunter Robin; it also comes from the team behind Samurai Champloo, and after watching the trailers, who cannot resist all its goodness? Everything from the dark sci-fi theme, to the fluid animation, the awesome soundtrack to the interesting looking characters and storyline just seemed to all fall in place for me. There are some screengrabs from the first episode after the jump, if you’re interested to see how this show looks. At the end of the episode, a woman explains that in the actual airing of the episode on February 25th, the theme song, Paranoid Android (although in the subbing, its misinterpreted as “Crazy Proxy“) by Radiohead will feature along with the show. I’d quite like to see how that one will fit together with an opening scene… sort of reminds me how Girls on Film by Duran Duran was chosen for Speed Grapher.

Battlestar Galactica has returned! The continuation of Season 2 aired yesterday on the Sci-Fi channel, and BSG fans have rejoiced the return of the show since its “Season Finale” back in September last year. Before I continue with writing up my synopsis and comments on this episode, I am going to warn that there will be spoilers to those who aren’t lucky enough to have seen this episode yet. Unlike my write-ups of previous episodes that have already been aired almost globally, this ones fresh. Over here in the UK, Sky hasn’t even begun showing Season 2 episodes yet (although the first starts on Tuesday, should anyone wish to watch!) The rest of this post will continue after the jump, but do not read it if you don’t want spoilers. I think that was fair warning.

We were left at the end of the last episode of Pegasus with a stand off between Galactica’s and Pegaus’s Vipers after Cain took Helo and Chief and charged them with the murder of her officer, leaving them with an execution order. The calamity is avoided when Starbuck returns from her secret espionage mission capturing photos of the mysterious Cylon Resurrection ship. Believing Starbuck’s Blackbird to be a raider, since it doesn’t have any transponder signals, Cain orders her vipers to investigate the possible Cylon raider. The standoff between Adama and Cain continues, but they step down and decide to talk on neutral ground: The Colonial One. President Laura Roslin helps to come to a truce between the two Battlestars while they launch an operation on the new heavily guarded Cylon ship, leaving the other topics to be resolved after the Cylon fleet has been dealt with.

After her daring recon mission capturing the high-quality photos of the Resurrection Ship, Cain decides to promote Starbuck to Captain because she is daring enough to lead a successful mission. Cain tells her that her wish is to return to the Caprica and save the survivors still aboard the plan. Starbuck instantly believes her, but it is more likely, in my opinion, that Cain is simply trying to gain trust in her and doesn’t actually wish to return to Caprica at all. Back on the Colonial One, Laura bluntly informs Adama that Cain must be killed. He’s slightly taken back, but she explains that it is the only way to save the fleet.

Doctor Cottle is looking at Sharon back on the Galactica with Adama. She has suffered some injuries from her rape by the officer of the Pegasus, but it seems the biggest damage to her is psychological. Like Gaius mentioned previously when he met the abused Number Six on board Pegasus, it seems the Cylons also suffer from psychological damage – and it seems that they are more like humans than the humans themselves first expected. Sharon is concerned about Helo and Chief because she heard that they were to be executed, but Adama explains that he will not let that happen. He apologises to the obviously distraught Sharon, and informs Dr Cottle to finish checking that she’s okay and return her to her cell. Apollo comes to inform Helo and Chief in the cells about the situation. They are both taken back about how close to war the Pegasus and Galactica were.

Gaius, again in his own world, tells his fantasy Number Six that he’s lost interest. Not in Number Six herself, but the place he’s in. It’s quite possible that Gaius is beginning to feel tired of his Caprica imagination, and losing his touch with the human world. Back in the real world, Cain comes to see Gaius’s progress with their captured Cylon. Gaius stops the Admiral short of kicking and injuring her further. She instructs Gaius to find out information about the new ship Starbuck reported back on. When Cain and her guards leave, Number Six jumps on Gaius and tries to strangle him to death.

Tigh and Jack are once again having a conversation, with drinks included, and soon Jack begins to explain how the Pegasus once had a civilian fleet, much like Galactica, but every part of the ships were stripped, and certain “important” individuals were taken onboard the Pegasus. Those who refused or restrained had their entire families shot. Tigh is incredibly shocked by this revelation and later passes the information on to Adama.

In Number Six’s cell, Gaius brings some new clothes and again tries to talk with her. She retells how when she came to Pegaus, she was fully aware of her nature as a Cylon, and she definitely wasn’t a sleeper agent. But she didn’t care, because she knew when she was killed, she would simply be downloaded to another agent. However, Cain and the officers on the Pegasus didn’t have her killed, and instead she was raped and abused and suffered severe pain. She tells Gaius that she wants to die, but the only way to do that would be if they destroyed the ship. The ship is in actual fact a “Resurrection Ship”, designed for killed Cylons to download into a new body. Because they are so far away from the Cylon homeworld, this ship is required for those Cylons to resurrect themselves.

Adama again talks with Roslin, who is having a “bad day” and is fairly under the weather, about Admiral Cain and decides that she is right – that for the future safety of the human fleet, Cain must be removed. Helo and Chief, still waiting in their cell on the Pegasus are discussing Sharon again. Helo explains that he does in fact truly love Sharon, despite the fact she isn’t even human, and asks Chief to give her up if he can.

Cain and Adama, each in their own personal rooms aboard their own Battlestars both begin to plan what to do next. When they next meet aboard the Galactica to discuss the battle plan against the Cylon resurrection ship with Starbuck, Apollo and Jack present, they exchange menacing glares. Adama asks that Starbuck be left behind so that he may talk with her, and Cain and Jack leave. Commander Adama tells Starbuck he has a mission for her: he wants her to assassinate Cain after the success of the Cylon operation. Cain also tells Jack that she wants him to be with Adama after the mission, and after the victory, to order her marines to kill Adama.

And there we are left with another ‘To Be Continued’ at such a moment of high tension – both Battlestar commanders planning on having the other assassinated. In my opinion, it seems to me that Jack is beginning to show doubt in Cain’s command, especially with her previous military choices. This episode was definitely very exciting, and the presence of the new Cylon ship was very ominous and imposing. The next episode should have incredibly high tension, but we’ll have to wait until next week to follow what happens!

For over a year now, I’ve been using Last.fm, formally Audioscrobbler, to both track what I listen to, and also for it to recommend me new artists to listen to. Recently, I came across a service called Pandora, which also advertises itself as a music recommendation service, built upon the Music Genome Project. The MGP started over five years ago and has since categorised over 10,000 artists and their music based on many factors that uniquely make a song: melody, harmony and rhythm, to instrumentation, orchestration, arrangement, lyrics and much more. When you go to Pandora, you enter an artist or track you like, and it will suggest music which has similar musical properties. As far as me and my friends have been testing it, its been a really cool tool for discovering new music which we will actually enjoy because of how the music fits together. At the moment, the service is free (although soon to be ad-supported) and technically only available to US citizens (because of legal matters), although it is definitely not complicated to sign up with a phony ZIP code to get to Pandora’s brilliant service. If you’re looking for new music, I highly advise you to try out Pandora, as it has definitely given me a lot of new music to get into!
